We will promote an equal, real freedom and opportunity to live in the way squirrels value and would choose, regardless of their colour. However, an equal society recognises squirrels' different needs, situations and goals, and removes the barriers that limit what squirrels can do and be.
It is about what we can do to create a fairer society for squirrels and recognises that:
-
equality is an issue for all squirrels, whether grey or red
-
Squirrels don't all start from the same place. Some live in large plush private gardens, other in much more challenging and disadvantaged environments.
-
to create a fairer society we need to recognise the different needs of the squirrel population.
The Society will continue to consider the impact that colour, gender and transgender, disability, age, sexual orientation may have on the life chances of Squirrels and their dray communities.
